Massey Ferguson 65 vintage diesel tractor for restoration

  
Here we have an original Massey Ferguson 65 tractor that is just ripe for restoration. It was first registered on 1st February 1961 in Northamptonshire. It had been on the same farm from new and is a one owner tractor. The V5 logbook is still in the original owners name as i never changed it over to mine (see pic 12). The engine is a 4-cylinder Perkins diesel. I was told the last time it was used was in the late 1980, s. It currently does not run as the engine is "stuck" so it will require stripping and checking over and servicing etc. I have not investigated the engine but i can tell you that there is oil in the sump (black oil) and there is no water in the cooling system. All tyres are inflated as you can see in the photos. The hour meter on the clock shows 3015 hours (see pic). All the instruments on the dashboard are intact and not broken. The glass fuel sediment bowl is missing on the RH side of the engine. There are no doors on the cab. The bonnet and front grill appear to be in very good, solid condition for there age. You could just get the engine up and running again and use it "as it is" or give the whole tractor a full restoration.....
