Massey Ferguson 35 tractor 3 cylinder diesel 1962

  
It has the three cylinderPerkins diesel engine in it and what is left of a Lambourn cab. I bought this tractor from a friend who hadbeen storing it in our shed for some time. Prior to that it had belonged to a local farming family who are named onthe logbook as the previous keeper. Italso has, as can be seen in the pictures, an original suppliers label which isfrom Stakesby Garage in Whitby. It looksvery much like it has been a local machine. I bought it because I learnt to drive on one of these andhad wanted to get another one to potentially tidy up. As can be seen, this is still in its workclothes. Over the last three years thatI have owned it, I have done a couple of road runs on it, used it for turninggrass at hay time and for put it on the front of an International 440 balerwhen getting hay and straw in. It haslive drive and everything works not that there is much diff lock and a PTO any they both work fine. There is no draw bar on it but the belly plate is there with the pins in to put a draw bar on. Early last year I had the injectors completely reconditionedat a specialist company in Scarborough. My father-in-law has also reconditioned the dynamo, however, I do notthink it is charging the battery, since the Amp gauge does not move. Behind the dash there is a voltage regulatorthat looks to have a bit of insulation tape on it I have never looked a that, because I havent had time and there is nothing on it really that runs thebattery down. It has proved to be a reliable workhorse whilst I have hadit and it runs well. It has had a recent(April 2019) filter and oil service and everything gets regularly greased.

The tyres are all decent on it too. It would make an ideal base to restore toshow condition. It would equally make a solid and reliablelittle worker on a small holding, as it has proved for me. It is currently taxed and insured and I run it between myhouse and my parents smallholding about 10 miles away, usually a couple of timesa year. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
